Jagran Josh: What was your rank in JEE Advanced-2014? In which branch and institution you are currently studying?
Ayush Mukherjee: I secured 40th rank in JEE Advanced-2014 and currently studying in Electrical Engineering branch of IIT – Kanpur.

Jagran Josh: What are your views on current paper pattern of JEE MAINS & Advanced-2014?
Ayush Mukherjee: The pattern is quite adept at selecting for IITs. Though the papers are objective but it requires complete insight into concepts to crack JEE
Jagran Josh: What was your preparation strategy for Physics and which books did you refer for this subject?
Ayush Mukherjee: Physics is a concept based subject and prefer NCERT for it. Reference books: H.C. Verma & Walker.
Jagran Josh: What was your preparation strategy for Chemistry and which books did you refer for this subject?
Ayush Mukherjee: Numericals: P. Bahadur; Referred almost every book available andalso the online material
Jagran Josh: What was your preparation strategy for Mathematics and which books did you refer for this subject?
Ayush Mukherjee: Referred books from Arihant.
Jagran Josh: Is coaching is necessary to crack JEE Advanced exam?
Ayush Mukherjee: Self study is must but coaching guides in right direction.
Jagran Josh: Did you attend any 'mock tests'? Do you think they're necessary for the preparation of JEE MAINS & Advanced?
Ayush Mukherjee: Mock tests are very necessary as they give you the nationwide ranking to assess yourself
Jagran Josh: What was your strategy in answering the questions in JEE MAIN?
Ayush Mukherjee: Do not attempt all the questions, mark only the sure ones.
Jagran Josh: Did you follow any particular strategy in answering the questions in JEE Advanced-2014?
Ayush Mukherjee: Attempt easier ones first and try difficult ones later.
Jagran Josh: Is there any specific observation or tips you want to give about JEE MAINS & JEE Advanced?
Ayush Mukherjee: JEE Advanced: Not to study previous year questions.
