Dhawal: I secured 100th rank in JEE Advanced-2014 and currently studying in computer Science & Engineering branch of IIT – Kanpur.

Jagran Josh: What are your views on current paper pattern of JEE MAINS & Advanced-2014?
Dhawal: JEE Advanced – Good; JEE MAIN – Board should be excluded
Jagran Josh: What was your preparation strategy for Physics and which books did you refer for this subject?
Dhawal: Clear my doubts with the help of teachers and practice from the study material of coaching. Reference books: H.C. Verma & D. C. Pandey
Jagran Josh: What was your preparation strategy for Chemistry and which books did you refer for this subject?
Dhawal: Physical Chemistry: V. K. Jaiswal; Inorganic Chemistry: Narendra Awasthi; Organic Chemistry: Coaching Study Material
Jagran Josh: What was your preparation strategy for Mathematics and which books did you refer for this subject?
Dhawal: Mathematics is an intuitive subject and should be studied and properly analysed by oneself.
Jagran Josh: Is coaching is necessary to crack JEE Advanced exam?
Dhawal: Very necessary
Jagran Josh: Did you attend any 'mock tests'? Do you think they're necessary for the preparation of JEE MAINS & Advanced?
Dhawal: Yes and they are necessary as they give you the real temperament of exam.
Jagran Josh: What was your strategy in answering the questions in JEE MAIN?
Dhawal: JEE MAIN – Easy ones first and difficult ones at the last of the paper.
Jagran Josh: Did you follow any particular strategy in answering the questions in JEE Advanced-2014?
Dhawal: Out of the two papers, I attempted all the questions in the paper with no negative marking.
Jagran Josh: Is there any specific observation or tips you want to give about JEE MAINS & JEE Advanced?
Dhawal: JEE Advanced: Practice a lot and do not skip any subject
            JEE MAIN: Study the topics which are not in Advanced
