IES Eligibility Criteria
Any candidate who is engineering graduate and who is between 21 to 30 years of age can apply for this exam. The exam is conducted by UPSC for engineering graduated candidate.
Age:- Aspirants aged between 21 and 30 years.
- B.E./B.Tech or passed sections A and B of the Institution Examinations of the Institution of Engineers (India) or
- Obtained a degree/diploma in engineering from such foreign university/college/institution recognized by the Government of India from time to time.
-Passed Graduate Membership Examination of the Institute of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (India); or
-Passed Associate Membership Examination Parts II and III/Sections A and B of the Aeronautical Society of India; or
-Passed Graduate Membership Examination of the Institution of Electronics and Radio Engineers, London held after November, 1959.
The aspirant must be any one of the following:
A citizen of India
A citizen of Nepal or a subject of Bhutan, or a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia or Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
