JEE Advanced Counselling 2017 begins; check dates and process here

The process of JEE Advanced 2017 Counselling has started from 15th June 2017. JEE Advanced, a national level exam is managed by the seven zonal Indian Institute of Technology (IITs).

JEE Advanced is conducted to get admission in the B. Tech, Integrated M. Tech or B. Tech-M. Tech Dual Degree programmes. Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and Indian School of Mines (ISM) offer these programmes.

The complete procedure of JEE Advanced Counselling:

Seat Allotment Letter: After a few days of choice lock, candidates will get an SMS/Email intimating them about the seat allotment. Candidates have to download their seat allotment letter from the official link.

Seat Acceptance: Candidates who are allotted a seat must deposit the seat acceptance fee to confirm their seats and verify their documents at any reporting centre for provisional seat acceptance. Candidates can pay the fee through e-Challan/SBI Net Banking.

Online Registration: Candidates who qualified the JEE Advanced Examination have to register for the seat allocation in all participating institutions failing which the seat will not be allotted.

Choice Filling: After registration, candidates have to fill their choices of courses and institutions in decreasing order of their preference. Candidates can fill as many choices as possible and can change their choices and add new ones till the final locking.

Choice Lock: Candidates must lock their choices after selecting the courses and institutions. If candidates don’t lock their choices, their last saved choices will be locked automatically.

Reporting at the allotted college: Within a few weeks of seat acceptance all the IITs and ISM will publish their reporting schedule on their respective official sites. The schedule and venues for introductory courses will be announced separately. Candidates have to report at the allotted college strictly at the stipulated time.

Documents required at the time of seat acceptance at the reporting centre:

• Two passport size photographs.
• Provisional seat allotment letter.
• Proof of seat acceptance fee payment.
• Photo identity card.
• JEE Advanced 2017 Admit Card.
• Birth Certificate.
• Class 10+2 mark sheet and Passing certificate.
• Category certificate.
• PwD Certificate.
