Eligibility Criteria For Top NIT Colleges 

For the 2025 academic year, National Institutes of Technology (NITs) admit students to diploma, UG, PG, and PhD programs. Specific eligibility depends on the chosen course and branch.

  • Diploma: Candidate must have qualified class 10 or equivalent examination with an aggregate of 35% marks in Science, and Maths from a recognised board.
  • BE/ BTech: He/She must have passed the 10+2 examination with Maths and Physics as mandatory subjects with one of the Biotechnology/ Biology/Chemistry/ Technical Vocational subjects They must have obtained an aggregate of 75% or above marks in the exam.
  • ME/ MTech: Candidates should have finished their BE/ BTech degree in Technology or Engineering from a recognised board in a specific discipline. Also, they should have a valid GATE score.
  • PhD: He/She must have cleared the master’s degree and gained a minimum of 60% aggregate marks or an equivalent CGPA of 6.5/10 to be eligible.
