DUSU Elections 2026: The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) revealed the official manifesto for the DUSU Election 2026 on Sunday, September 13. With the voting process planned for September 18 and the results to be declared on September 19, the student body drafted their campaign manifesto based on four fundamental pillars A-Awas, B-Bhagidari, V-Vishwas, and P-Parinaam. With regard to student housing, as a follow-up from the recently collapsed Satya Niketan PG building, ABVP promised to build new college hostels, create a Student Accommodation Cell and Helpline, conduct mandatory PG safety checks, and uphold strict fire safety regulations.
With respect to women's security and health issues, ABVP pledged to create pink booths, increase campus lighting, employ more female security guards, set up sanitary napkin dispensing machines, and have gynaecologists on campus healthcare centers. On academic matters, ABVP promised to speed up the result declaration process, make degree distribution easier, introduce supplementary exams, give students the evaluated answer sheet of candidates, and ensure uniform evaluation of internal assessment. With regard to career development, the panel promised to organise an annual campus placement event, create internship opportunities, engage industry-academia cooperation, and launch specialised training courses in artificial intelligence.

Awas (Student Housing): In the wake of the Satya Niketan PG Building Collapse, the ABVP promised to build new hostels (women hostels for all colleges separately), creating Student Accommodation Cell and Helpline, PG/Hostel safety audit, and implementing fire safety norms.
Women’s Safety and Health: Includes pink booths, additional lighting, women security guards, common room, installing vending machine of sanitary pads, and having gynaecologist doctors at campus health centers.
Academic Reforms: Deals with timely declaration of exam results and degrees, arranging supplementary exams, giving students access to the answer sheets, and providing clarity in internal assessments.
Employment and Skill Development: Includes annual Job Fairs, internship, industry research collaboration, and training in new domains like Artificial Intelligence (AI).
