The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) is expected to release the NEET PG 2026 answer key today, September 16 on its official website, natboard.edu.in. The board will also release the response sheet of the candidates. Several social media posts hint that the correct answers and candidate response sheet will be released today. However, no confirmation or announcement has been received from the board as of now.
Following the release, candidates will be allowed to raise objections against the provisional answer key, which is being released for the first time ever.
The NEET PG 2026 final answer key and scorecard will be released together on a later date, likely after the declaration of the results. The board may follow last year’s practice of declaring the results, scorecard and answer key. Around 2.63 lakh students wrote the NEET PG 2026 examination on August 30. The result is scheduled to be released on September 30.

To download the NBEMS NEET PG answer key for the 2026 session, candidates must visit the official website natboard.edu.in and click on the “NEET PG answer key download 2026” under the “Public Notices” section. The PDF will be automatically downloaded. Save it to calculate your expected score with the help of the response sheet.
To download the candidate response sheet or the answer sheet for the NEET PG 2026 examination, candidates must visit the official website natboard.edu.in and login to their account using the official user ID and password. After logging, you must click on the response sheet link available to download.
Once you have both the response sheet and the official answer key, you can calculate your expected score.

Candidates first need to know their correct and incorrect answers by matching the official key’s answers with their responses filled in the candidate sheet.
To calculate your NEET PG 2026 expected score, multiply the correct responses with four and incorrect answers with one. Then, subtract the two to get your probable score.
NEET PG Expected Score Formula: (Correct Responses*4) - (Incorrect Responses*1)
For instance, if you attempted 165 questions out of the total 180 questions and you had 150 correct answers and 15 incorrect responses, your NEET PG 2026 score would be (150*4) - (15*1), which is 585 out of the 720 marks.
