GSEB Class 10 Results: Understanding the ‘Best of Two’ Policy

Under this new guideline, students can choose to appear for the supplementary exams in any or all subjects. The unique Best of Two feature ensures that the higher score between the original March main exam and the June supplementary exam will be reflected in the final mark sheet. This allows students who secured passing grades but are dissatisfied with their scores to attempt an improvement without the risk of losing their previous marks.

The policy is particularly important for students receiving E1 or E2 grades, as these candidates must improve their performance to meet the minimum qualifying criteria, Grade D or the SSC Certificate. While the standard passing mark is 33%, the board has provided a relaxation for differently-abled candidates, who require only 20% to pass.
