National Institute of Technology, Meghalaya is also popularly called NIT- Meghalaya or simply NIT-M. This NIT also holds prominence and is regarded as the Institute of country-wide importance, just like its peers. Established in the year 2010, the NIT, Meghalaya is among the latest ones to be established. The stature of national importance is imparted to this institute. This is perhaps, one of the newest NITs in India. In the year 2018, in the overall ranking, it was placed at #98. It also has collaboration with some of the renowned international universities. NIT- Meghalaya holds an elite place in the list of colleges offering undergraduate courses through the JEE Main examination. In order to secure a seat in NIT- Meghalaya, one should qualify JEE (Main). While most of you would be already aware of the fact that NIT admissions and selections are dependent upon the JEE Main Rank. The seats are allocated through the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) and Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB).
