    After clearing JEE Main exam, most of the students prefer to take admission in National Institute of Technology (NITs) as these are the popular institutes after Indian Institute of Technology (IITs) in India. The first priority of the students who won’t able to crack JEE Advanced exam due to some reason is NIT. Students can take admission in these institutes on the basis of JEE Main Rank through the counselling conducted by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) every year. After the completion of the JoSAA counselling, a special round of counselling is also conducted by the Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) for the students in order to fill the vacant seats in NITs.     About National Institute of Technology, Nagaland:

    In 2009, the Government of India has approved the proposal of 10 new National Institute of Technology (NITs) and NIT, Nagaland was one of them. The National Institute of Technology, Nagaland is also known as NIT, Nagaland or simply NIT-U. The basic aim of the Institute is to provide quality technical education, conduct original research of high standards and provide leadership in technological innovations for industrial growth and primarily for enhancing the scope of technical education in the state of Nagaland.
