BPCE TRE 4.0 2026 Apply Online

Eligible candidates can apply online for BPSC TRE 4.0 through the official website, www.bpsc.bihar.gov.in, from September 25, 2026. The last date to submit applications is October 26, 2026. Candidates must complete registration, fill in details, upload documents, pay the fee, and submit before the deadline.

BPSC TRE 4.0 Eligibility Criteria 2026

Before applying, candidates must check the complete eligibility criteria listed below:

Nationality

• Candidates must be citizens of India, and Bihar domicile is not compulsory to apply, so candidates from other states can also apply.  

Age Limit (reference date 1 August 2026)

• Minimum age is 18 years for Primary Teacher posts, and 21 years for Secondary or Senior Secondary Teacher posts

• Maximum age is 37 years for General (Male), 40 years for BC/OBC/Women, and 42 years for SC/ST and other reserved categories (as per official norms)  

• For contractual teachers, the notification specifies a maximum age of 60 years, subject to applicable provisions 

Educational Qualification (varies by post/class level)

• Primary Teacher (Classes 1–5): Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks (or 45% as per NCTE 2002 regulations), along with a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.), 4-year B.El.Ed., or 2-year Diploma in Special Education 

• Middle & Secondary Teacher (Classes 6–10): Graduation with a B.Ed. degree from a recognized institution, having studied the concerned subject at the graduation level  

• Senior Secondary Teacher (Classes 11–12): Post-graduation with advanced subject knowledge, along with a B.Ed. qualification

TET/STET Requirement

• CTET Paper-I or BTET Paper-I for Primary posts; CTET Paper 1 or STET Paper 1 qualified as applicable  

• Candidates who haven't yet cleared STET 2026 may still apply, provided they clear it before the Preliminary Test and submit a self-declaration with a copy of their STET 2026 application while applying 

Other Points

• No fresh attempt cap is prescribed for TRE 4.0, so a candidate can apply for as many cycles as they meet the age and qualification conditions for 

• Economically Weaker Section candidates need a valid income and asset certificate, and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities need a disability certificate from a competent medical authority to claim relaxed age limits and reserved seats
