The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has launched a major recruitment drive across the state. The authority has released notification regarding competitive exams for direct recruitment to various technical and non-technical posts across the state. Under the recruitment drive, a total of 4,699 posts are to be filled including Non-Technical, Technical, Graduate and PUC Levels, Diploma Level, Junior Engineer and others. Graduate Level Posts (Non-Technical)
Under the Graduate Level Posts (Non-Technical) categories, a total of 2,421 vacancies including Accounts Assistants Wardens, First Grade Assistants across multiple departments, and Commercial Tax Inspectors are to be filled across 50 categories. Out of 2421 posts, 1,912 are for Residual Parent Cadre posts and 509 for Kalyan Karnataka Local Cadre posts.
PUC and Equivalent Level Posts (Non-Technical)
Under this category, a total of 2,062 vacancies are to be filled for various posts including Second Grade Assistants in Commercial Taxes, Gram Panchayat Secretaries, and Junior Accounts Assistants. These posts are categorized across 41 entries. Out of a total of 2,062 vacancies across 41 categories, 1,548 are for Residual Parent Cadre posts and 514 for Kalyan Karnataka Local Cadre posts.
Diploma Level Posts (Technical)
Under the recruitment drive, a total of 216 vacancies for technical roles are to be filled including Assistant Town Planners Junior Engineers (Civil) , Draftsmen, and Junior Engineers (Mining). Out of total 216 vacancies across 8 categories , 185 are for Residual Parent Cadre posts and 31 for Kalyan Karnataka Local Cadre.
KEA Recruitment 2026 When The Exam Will Be Held?
As per the detailed notice released, the notification will be released in the month of September 2026. The written exam is scheduled to be held in the months of November and December. Candidates will be able to apply for these posts once the detailed notification will be released consisting of all the details including eligibility, selection process, crucial dates and others. Candidates will have to make sure before applying for these posts to fulfill the posts wise eligibility.
What Is The Exam Pattern For KEA Recruitment 2026?
Under the recruitment drive, the KEA will conduct the written exam in the month of October and November 2026 across the state. Candidates should note that they will have to undergo a different round of selection process fixed as posts wise separate rounds. The Non-technical roles (Graduate and PUC levels) will feature Paper-1 and Paper-2 exams, while technical roles will include Paper-1 and a separate, specific Paper-2 exam.
