AI and RFID make IIM Jammu’s smart library more useful

The library has a dedicated web portal that lets students check book availability, access print and digital resources and book discussion rooms and other creative spaces. Students can use these services from anywhere on the IIM Jammu campus including hostel rooms. They can also continue using digital resources at all hours when they are away for internships, training programmes or competitions.

The library is also part of the One Nation, One Subscription initiative. Its resources include academic research company and sector information socio economic indicators newspapers and research support tools. AI has also been added to the digital system to improve the overall experience.

Study Spaces Research Access And Mobile Support For Students

The smart library has separate spaces for different learning needs. There is a silent zone for focused study and assignment work. There are also discussion rooms with interactive panels for placement interviews, case discussions, online presentations and group academic work. These spaces are especially useful for MBA and business students.
