The NEET PG 2026 answer key and candidate’s response sheet will be released soon on the official website of NBEMS board - natboard.edu.in. Candidates will be able to calculate their probable score using the answer key and raise objections against the answers, if any, through their candidate login window.

How Students Can Calculate Their Expected Marks Using The NEET Answer Key?

To calculate the marks, students should first know about the marking scheme. For correct answers, students are awarded four marks, while one mark is deducted for wrong answers.

Students must first calculate the number of correct and incorrect answers by matching the responses marked on their answer sheets to the correct answers mentioned in the official key released by the board.

Once you have the number of correct and incorrect answers, you should multiply them with four and one respectively, as per the official marking scheme.

Subtract the marks of incorrect answers from the correct answers to get your most likely NEET PG 2026 score. Use the following formula to calculate your score:

NEET PG 2026 Score = (Correct Answers * 4) - (Incorrect Answers * 1)

For example, if you answered all the 180 questions, of which you found 145 to be correct and the rest 35 to be incorrect using the answers key and marked responses. You would be awarded 580 marks for correct answers while 35 marks would be deducted for the 35 incorrect answers.

Your score would come out to be 545, out of the 720 marks, which can get you admission into several good colleges.

To pass the NEET PG 2026 examination, candidates belonging to the General/EWS category need to secure the 50th percentile, while General PwBD candidates need to score at least the 45th percentile. Candidates from the SC/ST/OBC categories must secure the 40th percentile.

When Will NBEMS Release NEET PG 2026 Provisional Answer Key?

The NBEMS board is expected to release the NEET PG 2026 answer key soon. The key is highly anticipated anytime soon now as the board would be required to open and close an objection window for candidates, all before the expected result date of September 30, 2026.

Last year, the board released the answer key for the first time and had not published a provisional answer key but only the final answer key along with the scorecard. The final result was released before the scorecard. The same trend is likely to be followed this year, with a provisional answer key also expected.
