The National Medical Commission (NMC) has released the NEET PG 2026-27 seat matrix for admission to Doctor of Medicine (MD) and Master of Surgery (MS) programmes. Students can check the number of postgraduate seats available at their preferred institutions based on the state and whether the medical college is government, private or deemed.
A total of 10,756 colleges have been listed for admission across India, with more than 50,000 postgraduate seats available. Government institutions account for most of the PG seats, followed by private and deemed medical institutions. Several branches including anaesthesia, ophthalmology, ENT, pathology, psychiatry, and respiratory medicine have shown an increase in the number of seats this year.
NEET PG Counselling Begins October 1 For PwD Candidates
The commission announced on September 28 that Round 1 counselling registration for Persons with Disabilities (PwD) candidates will open on October 1, 2026.
PwD candidates will be required to visit the Primary Medical Assessment Board between October 1 and October 9, up to 5 pm. According to the official schedule, the Appellate Medical Assessment Board will conduct medical assessments of PwD candidates from 10 am on October 5 to 5 pm on October 12, 2026.

- Save the PDF for future reference.
NEET PG 2026 Answer Key, Response Sheet, Scorecard From October 1
The NBEMS will release the NEET PG 2026 answer key and individual candidate response sheets on or after October 1, 2026. The scorecards will also be made available to candidates through the applicant login section on the official website, natboard.edu.in.
The NEET PG 2026 answer key and response sheet can be accessed through the applicant login. Candidates will need to enter their user ID and password to download or view the documents.
