NEET SS Counselling: The special round of NEET SS counselling is being conducted in accordance with the Supreme Court directive, which has reduced the qualifying cutoff percentile for Super Speciality admissions from the 50th percentile to the 30th percentile. It is an important ruling to ensure that the much needed super specialty seats do not go vacant at various government and private medical colleges all over India.
According to this new ruling, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has published a complete and elaborate vacant seat matrix of all the seats that are available in advanced DM, M.Ch, and DrDNB courses. With the lowering of the cutoff percentile in this round, it becomes very important for many medical aspirants to get into postgraduate medical courses, as there were many who could not meet the higher percentile criterion.
Allotments are made purely on the basis of merit and seat availability. This new round of allotment will be helpful in ensuring proper utilization of specialized medical education infrastructure of India.
