NEET UG 2026 Paper Leak: The National Testing Agency has reportedly debarred Aditya Motegaonkar, the son of a Latur-based coaching centre owner and NEET UG 2026 paper leak accused, Shivraj Motegaonka, from appearing for NEET UG Exams for two years. The debarment is in connection with this year's paper leak case reported in May 2026.
Aditya had appeared for the NEET UG Exams held earlier, and his result has been withheld. He has also been declared ineligible to appear for NEET UG 2027.
Shivraj Motegaonkar was arrested by the CBI this year related to the NEET UG paper leak case and is currently under judicial custody. As per the CBI, he is accused of paying Rs. 5 Lakh to procure the Chemistry questions from P V. Kulkarni, who was on the NTA panel that set the questions for the examination. It is also alleged that his son attended Kulkarni's coaching class where questions were provided.
NEET UG Result Withheld
The NEET UG re-Exam was conducted on June 21, 2026. According to reports, the agency has put the result of Aditya Motegaonkar on hold and sought his explanation over the alleged irregularities. In his response, he has denied having used any unfair means during the examination. He further added that the notice issued to him related to the alleged irregularities in the May 3 examination and questioned why the result of the re-exam has been withheld.
NEET UG Exam Paper Leak and Re-Exam
The National Testing Agency conducted the NEET UG examination on May 3, 2026. A few days into the exam, the previous education minister, Dharmendra Pradhan, in a press conference, informed that the examination conducted stands cancelled over paper leak issues which came to light over the course of the days leading up to the exam and right after the examination. The exams were cancelled to maintain the integrity of the exams. A re-exam was scheduled for June 21, 2026, with all necessary precautions in place.
The paper leak case was transferred to the CBI who made initial arrests and submitted its final report last month to the designated fast-track court in Delhi dealing with criminal cases arising from paper leaks as well as the use of unfair means in public examinations.
