West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education has issued a notification announcing the partial postponement of the Higher Secondary Third Semester Examination. As per the notification released, the exam is being postponed due to the bypolls in two assembly constituencies in West Bengal.
By-polls are being held in Nandigram and Rejinagar on October 6, 2026. As per the official notification shared, the exams scheduled for October 5, 6, and 7 will be held on October 12, 13 and 14, 2026. The exams will be conducted in a single shift from 11:00 am to 12:30 PM on all three days.
Candidates appearing for the Semester 3 examinations must make sure they carry a hard copy of their exam admit card with them to the centre. Students must also carry their school ID with them on the exam day.

WB HS Semester 3 Exam 2027: Guidelines and Instructions
- Students set to appear for the Class 12 semester exams in October 206 must make sure they check the revised examination dates
- Students appearing for the exams need to report to the centre at least an hour before the commencement of the exam.
- Mobile phones, smart phones, pagers, Bluetooth devices, smart watches and other electronic devices are not allowed inside the exam hall
- Students cannot leave the exam hall before the exam concludes
- Candidates are advised to read through the question paper thoroughly
- The admit card is a mandatory document to be carried by students to the exam centre
- Entry into the exam hall without a hard copy of the admit card will not be permitted
- Those caught cheating or using unfair means during the exam will not be allowed to continue the exam
