The BPSC Mains Exam 2018 will be held soon as the result of the BPSC Prelims exam has been declaration on 23 February 2019. This year, the BPSC Prelims was conducted on 16 December 2018. The candidates, who have cleared the BPSC Prelims Exam, will appear in the BPSC Mains exam 2018. There will be a tough competition in the BPSC Mains Exam 2018. The Mains exam is of 900 marks. If a candidate qualifies the BPSC Mains exam, then he is called for the interview which is of 120 marks. Hence, the merit is prepared out of 1020 marks.
BPSC Mains Exam 2018: Exam Pattern and Syllabus
The BPSC Mains exam 2018 will have a qualifying paper General Hindi. Also, there will be General Studies Paper 1 and General Studies Paper 2. Both these Papers will carry 300 marks each. There is an Optional Paper which the candidate has to choose while filling the Application Form. The Optional Paper is of 300 marks.

Some General Tips for the BPSC Mains Exam 2018
Here are a few tips and tricks for the aspirants who are going to appear in the BPSC Mains Exam 2018:
- The candidates should read and understand the complete Syllabus of the BPSC Mains Exam first.
- They should refer to the previous year question papers of the BPSC Mains exam to understand the nature, quality and difficulty level of the questions asked in the exam.
- They should practise the previous year papers on a regular basis to acquaint themselves with the exam.
- They should make notes on the basis of the BPSC Mains syllabus and revise it regularly.

Read NCERT Books (Class 6 to 12): NCERT books are always a boon for the students of any PCS exam. The aspirants should have a sound knowledge of the contents of these books as these books cover the syllabus of BPSC Mains Exam very well.
