Shere Kashmir University of Agri. Sciences & Technology Jammu Notified Admission for Various Post 20

Sher –e- Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences & Technology of Jammu invites the application on prescribed format from the eligible and desirous candidates for admission to the vacant seats of various Undergraduate and Post Graduate programmes of this university, on All India Basis against Self Financing Seats during the Second (IInd) Semister of Academic Session 2013 – 14. The course / discipline wise detail, eligibility criteria, requirements is given below.

Details of Positions/ Vacant Seats in different Disciplines

A.  Name of the Programme: “UG Programme”

            1.   Name of Discipline: B. Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture

Eligibility Requirement: l0+2 or equivalent with English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology/                     Agriculture with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.

2.   Name of Discipline: B. Sc. (Hons.) Biotechnology

Eligibility Requirement: l0+2 or equivalent with English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology                     subjects with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.

B.  Name of the Programme: “PG Programme”

            1.   Name of Discipline:  M. Sc. (Ag.) & Allied Sciences.

Eligibility Requirement:  (i) Bachelor’s Degree in respective/ related subjects. l0+2 or       

(ii)    6.00/ 10.00 or equivalent OGPA/ equivalent percentage (60%) of marks in Bachelor’s Degree.

2.   Name of Discipline:  M. Sc. Biotechnology.

Eligibility Requirement:  Bachelor's Degree in Biotechnology/ Agriculture / Veterinary Sciences/ Life Sciences with 6.00/ 10.00 or equivalent OGPA/ equivalent percentage (60%) of marks in Bachelor's Degee.

3.   Name of Discipline:  M. Sc. Basic Sciences.

 4.   Name of Discipline:  MBA (Agri Business Management).

Eligibility Requirement: Graduation from a recognized University with 50% marks.

5.   Name of Discipline: M. V. Sc.

Eligibility Requirement: (i)    Bachelor’s Degree in respective/ related subjects.                    

 (ii)    6.00/ 10.00 or equivalent OGPA/ equivalent percentage (60%)  of marks in Bachelor’s Degree.

How to Apply

• Applications on the prescribed format complete in all respects accompanied with the following documents and a Bank draft for Rs. 2000/- (Rupees: Two Thousand only) (Non refundable) pledged to Comptroller SKUAST Jammu and payable at J&K Bank RCC Jammu, must reach Registrar SKUAST Jammu, Chatha, Jammu – l80 009 lndia on or before 31.12.2013

Selection Procedure

• UG Programme

The following criteria for dmission to B. Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture/ B. Sc. (Hons.) Biotechnolory/ B. V. Sc. & A. H. against Self Financing Seats for which the selection/ admission is made by the University shall be adopted

Marks obtained in 10+2 with PCB/ Agriculture with Science subjects should be 100.

• PG Programme

The following criteria for admission to M. Sc. (Ag.) & Allied Sciences/ M. Sc. Biotechnology/ M. Sc. Basic Sciences/ M. V. Sc. programme against Self Financing Seats shall be adopted for which the selection/ admission is made by the University itself.

Marks obtained in Graduation with Degree (B. Sc./ B. Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture/ B. Sc. (Hons.) Biotechnology /B. V. Sc. & A. H. should be 100.

Selection for admission to MBA (Agri - Business Management) shall be made on the basis of combined merit in the components of CAT/ CMAT/ MAT Score of 2012 or 2013, Diversity factor, Group Discussion, Extempore / Micro presentation, Personal Interview, Academic Record  (On pro rata basis) (Graduation, 12th, 10th).
