    About Her: Melinda Gates is best known as Bill's other half. She is a co-chair of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, which strives to improve global health and education. She was born on August 15, 1964, in Dallas, Texas. Later, she took a job at Microsoft Corporation in 1987 and married her boss, Bill Gates, in 1994. In 2012 she pledged $560 million toward improving access to contraception for women in poor countries. In recognition of the foundation's philanthropic activities in India, Bill and Melinda Gates jointly received India's third-highest civilian honor, Padma Bhushan, in 2015.

    Education: Indian Institute of Management in Calcutta
    About Her: Indra K. Nooyi is the president and chief financial officer of PepsiCo. She is best known for its Pepsi soft drinks. Nooyi is one of the top female executives in the United States, and is also believed to be the highest-ranking woman of Indian heritage in corporate America. Indra Krishnamurthy Nooyi was born on 28 October 1955 in Madras, India in a middle-class family. After earning her undergraduate degree in chemistry, physics, and math, she went on to enroll in the Indian Institute of Management in Calcutta to earn M.B.A degree. Her first job was with Tootal, a British textile company. In 2013, Nooyi was named one of the "25 Greatest Global Living Legends" by NDTV. On December 14, 2013 she was awarded by the President of India Pranab Mukherjee at the Rashtrapati Bhavan.

    3. Sheryl Sandberg

    Education: Harvard MBA, 1995
    About Her: Ranked 12th on the Fortune list, Sheryl Kara Sandberg was born on August 28, 1969. She is an American technology executive, activist, and author. She is the Chief Operating Officer of Facebook and founder of Leanin.org. In 2012, she was named in the Time 100, an annual list of the 100 most influential people in the world according to Time magazine. At Harvard she studied the role that economic inequality plays in spousal abuse and founded a group called Women in Economics and Government. Now as Chief Operating Officer at Facebook, Sandberg oversees the firm’s business operations including sales, marketing, business development, human resources, public policy and communications.

    About Her: Susan Diane Wojcicki was born on born July 5, 1968. She is the current CEO of YouTube. Once in an interview Susan made a statement that “Your kids get something from your career and your career will get something from your kids”. She truly believes being a working mom benefits both her and her family. Wojcicki has been with Google since the beginning: she was their 16th employee and the company actually worked out of her garage for its first few months. Wojcicki was also a crucial part in the development of successful contributions to Google such as Google Images and Google Books

    About Her: Mary Teresa Barra was born on December 24, 1961. She is presently operating at the position of Chief Executive Officer and Chairperson of the General Motors Company. In April 2014, Barra was featured on the cover of Time's "100 Most Influential People in the World”. Barra started working for General Motors at the age of 18 as a co-op student in 1980. Barra was listed number 1 in Fortune's Most Powerful Women list in 2015, moving from 2nd place the year before.

    Position: American business executive, political activist, philanthropist, and Former CEO
    Organization: Hewlett-Packard
    Education: Harvard MBA, 1979
    About Her: Margaret Cushing "Meg" Whitman was born on August 4, 1956. At present she is an American business executive and political activist and donor. Whitman is currently the President and Chief Executive Officer of Hewlett Packard Enterprise, as well as the Chairwoman of HP Inc. Meg moved to Cincinnati for a job as brand manager at Proctor & Gamble. There, Whitman cut her teeth in the marketing and business world, working with future Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer.

    7. Irene Rosenfeld

    About Her: Ranked first on Fortune’s list, Irene Blecker Rosenfeld was born on May 3, 1953. Rosenfeld proves the theory that education is the key to social and corporate climbing. She not only an MBA degree, which she picked up in 1975 from the Johnson School at Cornell, but also a Ph.D. in marketing and statistics from Cornell. She’s something of a veteran on the Fortune list, too, having been chairman and CEO of Frito-Lay before taking on the top job at Kraft Foods. She held a number of key management positions in the United States, Canada, and Mexico, culminating in her appointment as president of Kraft’s North American business. Rosenfeld has been involved in the food and beverage industry for about 30 years with her excellent achievements.

    About Her: Ranked four on the 2011 Fortune list, Ellen J. Kullman was born on January 22, 1956. She was formerly Chair and Chief Executive Officer of E. I. du Pont de Nemours and Company ("DuPont") in Wilmington. Her latest achievements was to join the Board of Directors of The Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. as an independent director on December 21, 2016. Her Kellogg MBA degree earned her a job at General Electric Co. Kullman began her career at DuPont in 1988 as a marketing manager. She was named group vice president – DuPont Safety & Protection in 2002. In 2008, she was tapped to lead the company’s focus on growth in emerging international markets.

    Education: MBA from Harvard University
    About Her: Amy E. Hood is an American businesswoman, currently serving as the Chief Financial Officer at Microsoft Corporation. She holds a bachelor's degree in economics from Duke University in 1994 and an MBA from Harvard University. She currently sits at the #44 spot in the Forbes World's 100 Most Powerful Women list. Before becoming the company's first female CFO in 2013, Hood was the head of Microsoft's business division.

     

    10. Deanna Mulligan

    About Her: Deanna M. Mulligan is the president and CEO of the Guardian Life Insurance Company of America, a Fortune 300 company, and one of the largest mutual life insurance companies in the US.
