The Delhi Directorate of Education has opened the online admission process for admissions to vacant EWS and Freeship seats from class 2 onwards. The admissions are open for seats in private unaided recognised schools for the 2026-27 academic year. As per the notification, the last date for candidates to apply is September 20, 2026. Admissions will be conducted through computerised draw of lots which is likely to be done on September 24, 2026.
Parents and guardians applying for the admissions mut note that only a single registration and application can be done by using one Mobile Number. Parents must make sure they have all necessary documents ready with them when applying for the admissions under the categories.

DoE EWS/ Freeship Admission 2026: Criteria for Computiresed Draw of Lots
As per the official notification shared, residential address is the main criteria for allotment of seats through computerised lots. The notification however states that parents. Guardians sometimes manipulate by option wrong locality/ sub-locality/ sub-sub-locality deliberately in order to get admission in a preferred school. Considering this, necessary amendments have been made in the online registration form when filling the residential address.

When reporting to the allotted schools for admissions candidates must have the following documents with them

Two Print out of application form filled.
