The Madhya Pradesh School Education Department has announced the rollout for APAAR ID for MP students. This 12 digit ID will work like an Aadhaar style digital identity for school records. The state has said that unique IDs have already been created for 78.5 percent of students. Around 1 crore IDs have been generated so far. The move matters because it aims to keep a student's academic details safe in one digital system and make record management easier across the education journey. Scroll to get more details.

What Apaar Ids For Mp Students Means For School Records

Under this plan every student in Madhya Pradesh will get a unique APAAR ID. The school education department has said that all student related information will be linked to this 12 digit number. Through its official announcement the department said school students in the state will have a unique ID similar to that of Aadhaar. It also said that all student information will be integrated into this system.

The main purpose of APAAR ID for MP students is to build a secure digital record for every child. Instead of keeping academic details scattered across different places the new system will bring them together under one identity. This can help schools manage records more smoothly and can also make it easier for students to access their educational history when needed.

How APAAR Supports Academic Progress and Student Mobility

APAAR is a special identification system created for students in India. It is part of the One Nation One Student ID programme launched by the government. The initiative also aligns with the National Education Policy 2020. This gives the programme a wider role beyond just identity creation. According to the official information APAAR helps students collect and store their academic achievements over time. This can support smoother movement from one institution to another when students continue their studies. The system has also been designed to simply credit recognition and credit transfer from the school level itself. This can make academic progress more organised and can support recognition of prior learning in a more structured way. For students and schools in Madhya Pradesh this marks a major shift towards a major shift towards a more connected digital education record system.
