UP Board Exam 2022: UPMSP 10th and 12th Exams Begin from 24th March, UP Govt to invoke NSA against Copying Rackets

UP Board Exam 2022: Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) has released the UP Board 10th and 12th Exam 2022 Time Table according to which the annual board exams will begin from 24th March 2022. With the exam date approaching, the UP Government has decided to implement strict security measures and steps to check incidents of malpractices and cheating during the UP Bord Exam 2022. As part of these measures, the latest order from the State Administration has confirmed that people involved in copying rackets will face action under NSA - National Security Act.

Orders issued by Chief Secretary Durga Shankar Mishra

According to a report shared by PTI news agency, the orders about invoking NSA to check incidents of Cheating and Malpractices was issued by UP Chief Secretary Durga Shankar Mishra. The order was issued at a recent meeting of all divisional commissioners, police commissioners, district magistrates and SSPs through video conferencing. During the meeting, several decision and directives were issued including invocation of NSA against people involved in cheating rackets. Moreover, officials have also been asked to keep an eye on people spreading rumours and false information about UP Board Exam 2022 as well and take necessary against them as well.

Zonal and Sectoral Magistrates to Inspect Exams

During the meeting, Mr Mishra directed officials to depute zonal and sector magistrates at district level to inspect and supervise exam centres to ensure conduct of copy-free exam. These officials have been directed to conduct through check of the exam centres. Furthermore, to check cheating, the UP Government has also ordered installation of CCTV cameras in each examination hall.

As per the details shared by Additional Chief Secretary (ACS), Secondary Education, Aradhana Shukla, UPMSP has prepared over 8,373 examinations centres across the state where Class 10 and Class 12 Board Exams would be held. A total of 51,92,689 students are slated to appear for High School and Intermediate Exam 2022 from 24th March 2022 onwards.
