The National Testing Agency (NTA) is facing significant criticism due to alleged errors in the recent JEE Main 2025 question exam, a crucial engineering entrance test in India. Students have identified at least nine questionable questions across physics, chemistry, and mathematics papers, and expert reviews from leading institutes support these claims. This controversy adds to the growing scrutiny of NTA's competence in conducting competitive exams, which has been a concern in recent years.

The publication noted that if the claims of factual inaccuracies are proven true, it could impact the scores of lakhs of aspirants. Experts say that these are not minor ambiguities, but outright factual errors. The objections raised include four from physics, three from chemistry, and two from mathematics.

"It's unacceptable that such basic mistakes are creeping into national-level exams," wrote @kamath_pramod, an educator and commentator whose detailed breakdowns of the disputed questions have gone viral on X.

"Q on modern physics from the 7 April AM shift is conceptually flawed. If NTA doesn't correct this, it's an injustice to lakhs of students," he added.

The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main exams were conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) from April 2nd to 9th, 2025, in various Indian and 15 international cities. Provisional answer keys were released on April 11th, and candidates had until April 13th to raise objections at a fee of Rs 200 per question. The final answer key and results will be published on the official website (jeemain.nta.nic.in) and can be accessed with the candidate's application number and password. The revised answer key will be final and binding.
