AIIMS CRE 5 Seat Allocation 2026: Important Instructions
AIIMS has given clear rules for choice filling in Notice No. 156/2026. Candidates should read them carefully, as a small mistake can lead to cancellation of candidature.
Who Can Fill Choices?
Choice filling is not open to everyone. The portal link will be activated only for eligible candidates on their dashboard. Candidates must log in with the same credentials they used while filling the CRE-5 application form and completing other related processes on www.aiimsexams.ac.in.
How Will Seats Be Allotted?
Candidates must exercise their choice of institute and their order of preference for each group code, based on their eligibility for the respective posts and institutes. Seat and institute will be allocated on a merit cum choice basis, which means both the candidate's merit and the order of preference will be considered.
What Happens If Choices Are Not Filled?
AIIMS has clearly listed the consequences of not filling choices properly. Candidates should note the following points:

Candidates who fail to exercise their choice within the given timeline will have their candidature automatically cancelled without any further notice.

Such candidates will lose all claims regarding the applied post, and no allocation rights will be available at any stage.

If a candidate is called for choice submission but does not submit any choices, they will be excluded from further recruitment stages and their candidature will be summarily rejected.

If a candidate submits choices for only some of the available institutes and not all, they will be considered only for the posts and institutes they have selected. They will not be considered for the ones they left out, even if seats are available.
