19-year-old college dropout Dhravya Shah has raised US $3 million in funding for his startup, Supermemory AI. The AI platform is designed to remember a user’s digital information, including emails, chats, past conversations and personal details, and retrieve relevant information whenever required. It can integrate with platforms such as Google Drive, Gmail, Notion and GitHub to continuously sync and update the context available to the AI.
Shah began pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science in 2023 but later dropped out of the programme. He subsequently went on to raise US $3 million in funding from investors including Google, Cloudflare and OpenAI.
Dhravya Shah’s Journey To Raising US $3 Million
Alongside preparing for engineering entrance examinations, Shah worked on several projects, including software development. One of his projects generated enough revenue to help him move to the United States, where he secured an O-1 visa. The visa is granted to individuals who demonstrate extraordinary ability or achievement in areas such as science, education, business, arts or athletics.
Building One Project Every Week
Shah challenged himself to build one project every week for 40 consecutive weeks instead of waiting to develop a single breakthrough idea.
One of the projects he built during this period eventually became Supermemory AI. The platform is designed to remember a user’s emails, chats, files, PDFs and documents, similar to how human memory retains and recalls information.
The AI converts the information into a structured database, allowing relevant details to be retrieved and provided to users when required.
His Previous Role At Cloudflare
Shah joined Cloudflare as an Engineering Intern with its Workers AI team in Arizona, United States, and was later promoted to a Developer Relations role.
During his three-month internship, he worked on adding function calling to an AI platform and filed a patent related to the technology. He also created an open-source project for building AI agents and developed a Golang script that helped clear millions of phishing and scam domains from Cloudflare, according to details shared on his LinkedIn profile.
In his Developer Relations role, Shah visited colleges, conducted hackathons, attended conferences and demonstrated products. He also continued working on internal AI tools, including code-generation agents and MCP, as per his LinkedIn profile.
In April 2025, Shah founded Supermemory AI.
What Does Supermemory AI Do?
Supermemory AI is designed to act as a long-term memory layer for AI systems. It can collect and organise information from a user’s digital workspace, including emails, chats, files, PDFs and documents, and retrieve relevant information when needed.
The platform can connect with tools such as Gmail, Google Drive, Notion and GitHub, allowing it to continuously sync information and build context over time. Instead of treating every interaction as a new conversation, Supermemory AI is designed to retain relevant information from previous interactions and use it to provide more context-aware responses.
The technology can also be used by developers to add memory capabilities to their own AI applications. This means an AI tool can retain useful context from previous conversations or information shared by users, rather than relying only on the information available in a single session.
For Shah, Supermemory AI emerged from his approach of building and experimenting with multiple projects before developing the startup into a larger venture. The company was founded in April 2025 and has since attracted funding from investors including Google, Cloudflare and OpenAI.
