Rajasthan schools to reopen for students from Classes 10 to 12 from November 2

According to officials from the Rajasthan Education department, the schools in Rajasthan which have remained closed since March 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic and lockdown are expected to reopen from November 2, 2020

Rajasthan Schools to reopen from November 2

According to officials from the Rajasthan Education department, the schools in Rajasthan which have remained closed since March 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic and lockdown are expected to reopen from November 2, 2020, for the class 10 to 12 students.

The State Education Department has already sent a proposal to the state government for opening schools for the senior classes from November 2, 2020, onwards. The state education minister Govind Singh Dotasara has confirmed to the media that the officials are now awaiting the response from the state government. The classes will reopen for the students in phases and the first phase will be the reopening for the senior class students.

SOP for School Reopening

The department has also released a detailed SOP for the reopening which has been sent to the state government as well. The education minister also added that the department wants to make sure that the schools are being run for 150 days at least which is the minimum requirement for operating one academic school session also adding that Zero academic session is not on the mind of the department now.

Guidelines

The Standard Operating Procedure guidelines for teachers and students will include sanitization of school furniture, stationery, toilets, water tanks. Arrangement for washing hands. Students have also been asked to use their own pens, books, and notebooks and eat home-cooked meals, and water from their own bottles. 

Schools in the different schools across the country have been closed since March 2020 due to the COVD-19 pandemic. The teachers have been conducting the class for the students in the online mode in order to make sure that the students do not lose out on the learning process. 

State departments have also been conducting classes for students through different modes including YouTube, TV, and Radio.
