TNEA Counselling 2026: The Directorate of Technical Education (DoTE), Tamil Nadu is set to release the TNEA 2026 Counselling Round 3 provisional allotment today, August 23. The allotment indicates the college and engineering course assigned to each candidate based on their rank, choices entered, reservation criteria and availability of seats. Candidates who participated and filled choices in the Round 3 counselling process will be able to check their allotment status on the official website tneaonline.org using their login credentials. The provisional allotment result for upward-opted candidates will be released on August 31, 2026.

A total of 1,06,778 seats are vacant and expected to be filled through TNEA round 3 counselling process. In round 2 counselling, over 93,000 students had participated, of which, 49,984 were allotted seats. Students who have already confirmed their tentative allotment should also check whether they have been allotted the same college and course in the provisional allotment. The tentative allotment was released on August 21, 2026.

What After TNEA Round 3 Allotment?

Candidates who have been allotted a seat will have to complete the required admission and joining formalities within the specified deadline. Those who selected the Accept and Join option will have to report to their allotted college between August 23 and August 27, 2026.

Candidates who opted for Accept and Upward will remain eligible for further upward movement according to the counselling rules. Students should therefore regularly check their counselling account for any further updates and make sure they do not miss the reporting deadline.
