The University of East Anglia (UEA) has launched the Vice Chancellor’s Global Impact and Leadership Scholarship, which will offer a £10,000 tuition fee discount to qualifying Indian postgraduate students beginning in September 2026. Apply before the June 26, 2026, deadline.

The University of East Anglia (UEA) is offering the Vice Chancellor’s Global Impact and Leadership Scholarship to Indian students starting their postgraduate courses in September 2026. The Vice Chancellor Scholarship of the UEA will also offer a tuition fee discount of £10,000 for the qualifying postgraduate students at the University of East Anglia. The registration to apply for the scholarship at the UEA is ongoing, and the deadline to submit the application is June 26, 2026, 23:59 (BST).

This scholarship is an application-based award, which aims to recognise international students with an excellent academic record and a strong commitment to making a global impact and demonstrating leadership in their respective areas of study.

University of East Anglia: Vice Chancellor Scholarship Eligibility Criteria

The postgraduate program being offered at the University of East Anglia, through the Vice Chancellor’s Scholarship for international students, is of two years' duration, and the students must remember that the scholarship will be offered for the first year only. The course will start in September 2026. Given below is the eligibility criteria to apply for the Vice Chancellor Scholarship:-

  • The candidate must be an Indian citizen with a conditional or unconditional offer to an approved postgraduate teaching program at UEA, categorised as international fee-paying students.
  •  The candidate must have attained or be on track to obtain at least the equivalent of a UK 2:1 undergraduate degree.
  • The scholarship is offered for selected programs.
  • Aside from the International Early Payment Award, the grant cannot be coupled with other UEA scholarships.
  • Those candidates who are completely sponsored by the government or an external organisation to cover the entire cost of tuition are ineligible for this scholarship.

University of East Anglia: How to Apply?

The candidate must write out the answers to three questions that are asked in the application. Each answer should not exceed 200 words. The three questions that are asked in the application are as follows:-

  • Why did you select UEA and apply for your chosen course?
  • How will your chosen course equip you to achieve your future career and leadership ambitions?
  • How will the knowledge and skills you will gain from your course equip you to become a global leader?

There are some important rules that the candidates must keep in mind while applying for the scholarship:-

  • They must already have an offer (conditional or unconditional) for an eligible postgraduate course starting in September 2026.
  • They must have or be expected to get a bachelor’s degree that is at least a UK 2:1 (or the same level in the candidate’s country).
  • The offer letter of the candidate must say that they are an Overseas fee-paying student.
