Google Public Policy Fellowship 2026 Applications Open, Students Can Earn up to Dollar 12000 in Washington DC

Google has announced the opening of applications for the Public Policy Fellowship 2026, offering students an opportunity to work on internet and technology policy issues in the United States. The fellowship will take place in Washington DC and is designed for those interested in governance, public policy, and technology-related issues. The last date to submit applications for the fellowship is April 9, 2026, at 12 PM Eastern Time.

The Google Public Policy Fellowship program allows selected students to collaborate with public interest organisations where they will conduct research, contribute to policy discussions, and support advocacy initiatives. Fellows will also interact with mentors and senior professionals and work in the policy and technology sectors.

Google Public Policy Fellowship 2026: Eligibility, Stipend and Program Details

Students from Various academic backgrounds can apply for the Google Public Policy Fellowship 2026. The eligibility criterion to seek this fellowship is given below:-

• Candidates must be at least 18 years of age and should ne enrolled in or accepted to accredited education institutions before August 2026.

• Undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral students are eligible to apply for this fellowship.

•  Selected candidates will work with the public interest organisations in Washington, DC and gain practical exposure to internet governance, technology regulation, and public policy debates.

• During the fellowship, participants may also attend meetings, conferences, and discussions related to technology policy.

• The fellowship offers financial support to participants. Students working full-time (40 hours per week) will receive a stipend of $12,000, while those working part-time (20 hours per week) will receive $6,000 during the program.

The program aims to help students gain real-world experiences in policy research and analysis while contributing to discussion in internet and technology governance. Selected fellows will work closely with mentors and policy experts during the program.
