In the year 2013, the Jharkhand Intermediate Exams for the Art, Commerce, and Science Streams were flagged off on 22 February and ended on 15 March.
The results for science stream intermediate exams 2013 was announced on 28 May 2013 that recorded a considerable fall in pass percentage of the stream compared to previous year 2012. A total of 50,504 students were failed in the science stream led only 38.28 pass percent, which was around 10% lesser than 2012’s record at 48.37. Of the total 81,831 students appeared in science stream exams, only 31,327 passed, and out of this only 6,096 managed to make it in first class.
The total number of students appeared in Commerce stream exams last year was 44,531, of which only 31,419 passed, making 70.55 pass percent. While the majority of Commerce students, around 21,362, passed in second division, only 5,969 managed to come out in first class, and 4,084 in third.
In Arts Stream, 1, 51,637 students appeared in 2013, of which 72.92% (1, 10,581 students) passed the exams. The numbers of students passed in first, second and third divisions in the stream were 5,182, 75,163, and 30,232, respectively.
Jharkhand Board (JAC)
Established on 26 December 2003, Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) was enacted by the Jharkhand State Legislature and assented to by the Governor of the State which was known as Jharkhand Academic Council Act 02.7.2003.
The JAC is responsible to conduct every year Class 10th and 12th, that is, matriculation and intermediate annual exams across the state for schools/colleges affiliated to it.
