Board examinations play a very important role in the life of a student. Be it 10th or 12th examinations, all these occupy a significant place in the careers of the students. This is because immediately after 10th class examinations, students are offered with different choices in various subjects. For instance, there are three broad choices such as commerce, science, and arts. There are different careers in these subjects and it goes without saying that these careers offer great future prospects to the students. Students opting for science stream can go for degree courses in the field of engineering, and medical students can opt for subjects such as biology. As far as commerce stream is concerned, students can go for chartered accountant courses and degree courses in commerce itself. Adding on, arts also offer degree courses in subjects such geography, political science, English, history and many more.
As stated above, these courses in the long run have proved to be extremely beneficial for the students and have indeed helped them to build reputed careers in respective fields. The board examinations for classes 10th and 12th are held in the month of March and the results are thereby declared in the month of May. These examinations are conducted all over the country and some cities conduct ICSE board and some are affiliated to that of CBSE. Once the results are declared students can collect the information related to the same from their respective schools.
The results are declared in the PDF format and to check the results students can visit the official website for more information. If the student has passed or qualified the results are going to be displayed on the official website. Students who have made through the examination are eligible for the further entrance tests and moreover can seek admission in various colleges. Students who wish to pursue engineering courses can appear for the same as there are five engineering and one medical college in Goa. The Goa engineering college and national institute of technology Goa are funded by the government whereas the private engineering colleges like Don Bosco College of Engineering at Fatorda, Shree Rayeshwar Institute of Engineering and information Technology at Shiroda.
According to the 2011 census, Goa has literacy rate of 87 % with 90 % males and 84% of females being literate. The Goa board 10th and 12th result is declared once the examinations are conducted.
