Chhattisgarh board of secondary education is a board of education in the state of Chhattisgarh which was upgraded on 20th September 2001 under legislative notification with the main aim of providing the best quality education to the students. The board of education is also responsible for promotion and development of secondary education in Chhattisgarh.
The main objectives of the board are to conduct high school, higher secondary school, physical training diploma, and certification examination. The board also advises and helps the government in the formation of curriculum and text books, and takes all necessary steps to raise the standards of the Board. There have been various programs initiated by the board to strive excellence and also encourage and motivate the students to perform their best.
In comparison to the previous year’s results, there has been a tremendous increase in the performance of students from both class 10th and 12th. The scenario in terms of education and development has drastically changed in the state. New courses in the academic council have been introduced which proves to be of extreme importance.
In the year 2013, approximately 3, 68,582students appeared in the science stream examinations. The passing percentage in the year 2013 recorded was 91.87 % compared to 91.36 % in 2012 and out of the total number of students 3, 32,650 managed to clear the examinations. Adding on, girls outshined the boys with the pass percentage at 93.25 compared to that of 91.45 of boys. In the current year, the date sheet and time table are announced and Chhattisgarh board of 10th and 12th result 2014 will be declared once the examinations are conducted.
Schools in the state of Chhattisgarh are affiliated to Chhattisgarh board of secondary education and mostly follow the pattern assigned by CBSE (central board of secondary education) or CISCE (council for the Indian school certificate examination). The institutions under the state schools follow Hindi as their medium of instruction, while English is preferred by most of the private schools.
