Why Have Chandigarh School Timings Been Changed?

The weather in Chandigarh has become very cold (9 degrees Celsius on January 4th, 2025), making it difficult for students to attend school early in the morning. To address this issue, the Chandigarh administration has changed the school timings and revised the classes schedules.

According to the updated schedule:

• For Classes 9 till 12, morning shift schools will now begin after 9:30 AM and end at 3:30 PM
• Classes will be taken online till 8th standard.Timings will be from 9:00 AM
• Schools organising pre-boards can open at 9:00 AM

These changes are applicable to both government and private schools in Chandigarh.

When Will The New Chandigarh School Timings Be Effective?
