Dr. P. Sathyanarayanan, President, SRM University, AP-Amaravati has announced 'SRM group of institutions offers 100% scholarship in B.Tech seat for one student from each district across the country' and clarifies that the candidate should be a topper in that district in 10+2 examination of the concerned state board or CBSE conducted examination.
B.Tech courses counselling commenced at SRM AP campus on Monday which will be extended till coming Thursday, he addressed the media. He said that SRM Trust also offers scholarships to the extent of Rs 30 crore for the meritorious students who secured higher ranks in the SRMJEEE. He said that 1-100 rank holders will have total free education and also free hostel facility in their SRM institutions. The rankers from 101 to 500 will have totally exempted for tuition fee, 500 to 1000 rankers have 75% tuition fee concession, 1000 to 2000 rankers have 50% concession and 2000 to 3000 rank holders have 25% tuition fee concession.
SRM institutions will also provide free education for the students who were participated in national and international sports, physically handicapped and also exemplary artists, he added.
Dr. P. Sathyanarayanan has said that this year, SRM University, AP - Amaravati offers - CSE, ECE, EEE, Mechanical and Civil Engineering courses with an intake of total 1020 seats out of 76,000 students qualified from SRMJEEE.
Later at Scholarships presentation function with students and parents, he presented a scholarship certificates to a few meritorious students.
SRM University Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof. D Narayana Rao, Registrar Dr. D Gunasekharan, Director of Admissions Dr Rupesh made their presence at the media conference.
