SSC CPO Recruitment 2026: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is all set to close the online application process for the Sub-Inspector in Delhi Police and Central Armed Police Forces Examination 2026 tomorrow September 30, 2026. Candidates who have not submitted their application form till now can apply through the official website at ssc.gov.in. Under this recruitment drive a total of 1871 Sub-Inspector vacancies in Delhi Police, CAPFs and CISF would be filled. Candidates must complete the application process before the deadline to avoid last minute issues.

The recruitment includes 205 vacancies for Sub-Inspector (Executive) in Delhi Police-Male, 112 vacancies for Sub-Inspector (Executive) in Delhi Police-Female, 1320 vacancies for Sub-Inspector (GD) in CAPFs and 234 vacancies for Sub-Inspector (Fire) in CISF-Male.

SSC CPO Exam 2026 Highlights 

The SSC CPO selection process consists of Paper I, Physical Standard Test/Physical Endurance Test (PST/PET), Paper 2 and Detailed Medical Examination (DME). Paper I has 100 questions for 100 marks while Paper 2 carries 200 marks. There is a negative marking of 0.25 marks in Paper I and 0.50 marks in Paper II. SSC CPO Recruitment 2026 Eligibility Criteria 

Before applying for the SSC CPO SI Exam 2026 candidate must ensure that they fulfill all the eligibility criteria as mentioned in the official notification. Check details below.

1. Educational Qualification-

• Candidates who will apply for SI in Delhi Police and SI in CAPFs must have a Bachelor degree from a recognised university or equivalent. 

• For the SI (Fire) post in CISF candidates must have a Bachelor degree in Science with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

2. Age Limit-(As on August 1, 2026)

• For more posts the minimum age to apply is 20 years while the maximum age is  25 years old as on August 1, 2026. 

• Candidates must be between August 2, 2001 and August 1, 2006. 

• For SI (Fire) in CISF the age limit is 18 to 30 years.

• Relaxation in the age limit would also be provided as per applicable government rules.

3. Driving Licence-

• Male candidates applying for SI in Delhi Police must have a valid LMV driving licence for motorcycle and car on the date of the Physical Endurance and Measurement Test (PE&MT).  

• Female candidates do not have any such criteria.

Steps to Apply for SSC CPO Notification 2026

Candidates can follow the steps given below to complete the online application process-

• Visit the official SSC website at ssc.gov.in.

• Complete the One-Time Registration (OTR) on the new SSC website if not done.

• Now enter your login credential such as registration number and password.

• Enter personal, educational and other details.

• Upload relevant documents and complete the live photograph and signature requirements.

• Pay the application fees online as per your category.

• Check details once before submission of online application.

• Submit the application form and save a copy of the same for future references.

SSC CPO Recruitment 2026 Application Fees

Candidates can pay the application fee online through various payment modes. The category wise fee details are given below-

The application fee for SSC CPO 2026 is Rs 100. Women, SC, ST and Ex-Servicemen candidates are exempted from paying the fee.
