SSC MTS Recruitment 2024 Live: Notification Delayed, Check Exam Date, Age Limit and Other Details

The notification is delayed as it was supposed to be released on 7 May.

The direct link to download SSC MTS Notification pdf will be provided in the article, when released, on the official website www.ssc.gov.in.

The candidates will get 45 Minutes to complete Session 1. Immediately after the completion of Session I, Session II will start at and will be of 45 Minutes. Immediately on completion of 45 Minutes, Session-II  Computer Based Examination will come to an end.

The notification was expected to be released on 7 May. However, it has not been uploaded to the official website yet. There can be chances for the delay of the notification.

There will be no negative marking in Session I. However, a negative marking of one mark will be done in Session II.

The photograph should be scanned, coloured and passport-size in JPEG format (20KB to 50 KB). The image dimension of the photograph should be about 3.5 cm (width) x 4.5 cm (height). The Photograph should be without a cap and spectacles. The frontal view of the face should be visible.

Candidates who are eligible to pay the application fee can submit it through only mode only such as BHIM UPI, Net Banking, by using Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, RuPay Credit or Debit cards. 

For MTS Posts

The recruitment process for the post of MTS consists of Session-I and Session-II of Computer Based Examination (CBE). The performance of the candidate in Session I will be evaluated first and performance in Session-II will be evaluated only if a candidate qualifies in Session I.

For Havaldar Posts

The candidates can check the PET/ PST standards for the post of Havaldar in CBIC and CBN as follows:

Physical Efficiency Test (PET): Walking 

• Male Candidates: 1600 meters in 15 minutes
• Female Candidates: 1 KM in 20 minute

Physical Standard Test (PST):

For Male

Height: 157.5 cms and Chest: 81 cms

For Female

Height: 152 cms and Weight: 48 kgs

The result will be declared on the website of SSC (ssc.gov.in). The result will be made in a PDF. It will be declared within a month or so after the SSC MTS Havaldar Exam 2024.

After the completion of the exam, the commission will release the answer key on its website. The candidates can raise the objection, if any, through the official website. There will be a fee of Rs.100 per objection.

The admit card will be issued to all the candidates whose application is accepted by the commission. The admit card will be issued on the website of SSC Regions i.e. SSC NR, SSC ER, SSC SR, SSC WR, SSC CR, SSC MPR, SSC NER, SSC NWR and SSC KKR.

The candidates can check the subject-wise syllabus below:

1. Numerical and Mathematical Ability: It contains questions on problems relating to Integers and Whole Numbers, LCM and HCF, Decimals and Fractions, Relationship between numbers, Fundamental Arithmetic Operations and BODMAS, Percentage, Ratio and Proportions, Work and Time, Direct and inverse Proportions, Averages, Simple Interest, Profit and Loss, Discount, Area and Perimeter of Basic Geometric Figures, Distance and Time, Lines and Angles, Interpretation of simple Graphs and Data, Square and Square roots etc.
2. Reasoning Ability and Problem Solving: There will be questions on general learning ability. The questions will be broadly based on Alpha-Numeric Series, Coding and Decoding, Analogy, Following Directions, Similarities and Differences, Jumbling, Problem Solving and Analysis, Non-verbal Reasoning based on diagrams, age Calculations, Calendar and Clock, etc.
3. General Awareness: The questions will be on Social Studies (History, Geography, Art and Culture, Civics, Economics), General Science and Environmental studies up to 10th Standard.
4. English Language and Comprehension: Questions are on vocabulary, grammar, sentence structure, synonyms, antonyms and its correct usage, etc. and to test comprehension, a simple paragraph may be given and a question based on the paragraph to be asked.

The recruitment of MTS will be done in the given departments:

The exam will have questions in two sessions i.e. Session 1: Numerical and Mathematical Ability, Reasoning Ability and Problem Solving and Session 2: General Awareness and English Language and Comprehension. The exam pattern is given below:

The Computer Based Examination will be conducted in Hindi, English and in other 13 regional languages viz. Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Konkani, Malayalam, Manipuri, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and and Urdu.

The Multi-Tasking (Non-Technical) Staff will paid in Pay Level-1 as per Pay Matrix of 7th Pay Commission and Havaldar in Pay Level-1 as per Pay Matrix of 7th Pay Commission.

The exam consist of a Computer Based Examination and Physical Efficiency Test (PET)/ Physical Standard Test (PST) for the post of Havaldar only.

The candidates can follow the given procedure to submit their application form through online mode:

Step 1: Go to the website of the commission - ssc.gov.in

Step 2: For One-Time Registration, click on 'Register Now' link provided under 'Login or Register‟ tab`

Step 3: Fill in the details and register

Step 4: Login using your Registration Number and password

Step 5: Provide other information, upload documents and photo

Step 6: Go through the declaration carefully and click on 'I agree' check box if you accept the same. Fill up Captcha code.

Step 7: Pay the registration fee

Step 8: Candidate should take printout of the application form for their own records

The application edit date will be announced via detailed notification. The candidates are required to wait for the notice to release.

Candidates will be charged Rs. 100 for applying.  Women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Persons with Disabilitie (PwBD) and Ex-servicemen (ESM) are exempted from the payment of application fee.

Applications must be submitted in online mode on the new website of
the Commission i.e. ssc.gov.in. You are required to register on the website before applying.

Those who have passed 10th class exam or equivalent from a recognized Board are eligible to appear for this exam.

The age of the candidate should be 18 to 25 years for MTS and Havaldar in CBN (Department of Revenue) and should be 18 to 27 years for Havaldar in CBIC (Department of Revenue) and few posts of MTS.

The candidates should be in one of the following mentioned options:

a citizen of India,or a subject of Nepal,  or a subject of Bhutan, or a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan,  urma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania  Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam intending to permanently settle in India.

The recruitment will be done for the post of Multi-Tasking (Non-Technical) Staff and Havaldar.

The commission will release the number of vacancies in the notification. Last year, SSC had notified 1198 vacancies. We can expect similar number of vacancies this year.
