About Lala Lajpat Rai

Lala Lajpat Rai was born on 28 January 1865 in Dhudike, India. He was an Indian nationalist, writer, politician, and leader of the Hindu supremacy movement. A lawyer by profession, he played an important role in the Indian Independence movement. He demanded Swaraj (self-rule) and actively participated in all protests and movements against British rule. 

One of his major achievements was his leadership in the non-cooperation movement and his active involvement in the formation of the All India Trade Union Congress and Punjab National Bank. He gave all of his strength and will to bring social and educational reforms to uplift the marginalized sections of society. His
