Bihar Board Extends Class 10, 12 Exam 2028 Registration Deadline; Schools Can Apply Till October 24

The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has given schools additional time to complete registrations for students who will appear for the Matric and Intermediate annual examinations in 2028. The revised deadline is now October 24, 2026, instead of the earlier date of October 10.

The extension was announced by BSEB Chairman Dr Tyagarajan S.M. It gives schools more time to complete the registration process for eligible students who are currently studying in Class 9 and Class 11.

The registration process is important for students planning to appear for the Class 10 and Class 12 board examinations in 2028. Students should contact their respective schools to check whether their details have been submitted.

BSEB Registration 2028: Which Students Are Eligible?

The extended registration window covers two groups of students:

• Class 9 students: Their registration is for the Bihar Board Matric (Class 10) annual examination in 2028.
• Class 11 students: Their registration is for the Bihar Board Intermediate (Class 12) annual examination in 2028.

The board has assigned the registration process to school authorities. Students cannot complete it independently through a personal login, as school heads must use their institutional user ID and password.

What Should Students Do Before October 24?

The extension gives institutions more time to complete pending registrations. However, students should not assume that their registration is complete without confirmation from their school.
