Jaipur Coaching Centre Teacher Sacked After Video Shows Student Assault In Class

A teacher at Kalam Academy in Jaipur has been removed from service after a video showing him allegedly assaulting a student inside a classroom surfaced on social media. The incident took place at the institute’s Jaipur centre on October 2, 2026.

According to reports, teacher Praveen Dan Charan allegedly slapped and kicked a student during a classroom session. The video later circulated widely, prompting students to gather outside the coaching centre and demand action against the teacher.

The exact circumstances that led to the confrontation have been reported differently. Some reports said the teacher became angry over a note handed to him by the student. The note reportedly contained a comment referring to the institute and the idea of “sacrifice”. The circumstances surrounding the note have not been independently established.

Students Protest Outside Kalam Academy

Following the circulation of the video, a large number of students gathered outside the Kalam Academy Jaipur centre on Sunday and demanded strict action against the teacher.

The protest intensified as students raised concerns about the treatment and safety of students at coaching institutes. Police reached the spot after the demonstration grew and dispersed the protesters.

The student involved in the incident said that he planned to lodge a police complaint. As of the initial reports, the legal process was dependent on the complaint from the student.

Kalam Academy Removes Teacher From Service

Kalam Academy condemned the incident and said such behaviour towards a student was not acceptable. The institute stated that the teacher’s conduct was a personal act and that he was removed from service with immediate effect after the management became aware of the incident.

The incident has renewed concerns about student safety and the need for appropriate conduct inside coaching centres, particularly as thousands of students depend on such institutes for competitive examination preparation.
