MCC NEET UG 2026: The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has released a notice today, September 17, 2026, on the resignation of Freeze and Float candidates of Round 1 and 2. According to the document, the committee has reopened the Resignation/ Seat Withdrawal facility for Round 1 and 2 FREEZE/ FLOAT candidates. The window is open on the official website of MCC at mcc.nic.in.
The window is open for candidates who had earlier accepted the round 1 or 2 allotted seat but now want to resign/ withdraw from the seat now. The deadline to resign online is from 3:30 PM today, Thursday, September 17, 2026 till September 18, 2026, till 6 PM. Candidates must note that it will include forfeiture of security deposit.
The notice reads, “The Freeze/ Float (not upgraded) candidates who want to RESIGN their Round-1or Round-2 joined seat can do so from 03:30 P.M of 17.09.2026 till 6 PM of 18.09.2026 WITH FORFEITURE OF SECURITY DEPOSIT.”

MCC NEET UG Counselling 2026: Important Notes
The candidates should take note of following instructions w.r.t Resignation:
- The FREEZE candidates who want to resign/ withdraw from their seat will have to physically report at the allotted institute to resign.
- The FLOAT Candidates (not upgraded) are advised to ensure that they Resign/Withdraw their round 1 or 2 seat by logging into their account and generate Seat Withdrawal slip online, failing which the resignation will be treated as ‘Null & Void’.
- The resignation given within stipulated time mentioned above, will be with Forfeiture of Security Deposit.
- Candidates are advised to ensure that their Resignation Letter/ Seat Withdrawal slip is generated online through a portal provided by MCC failing which the resignation will be treated as ‘Null & Void’.
- Once Resigned/ Seat is Withdrawn, the candidate will have NO CLAIM over the resigned seat.
