The Medical Counselling Committee has commenced the registration process for NEET UG 2026 Round 3 counselling. Candidates seeking admission to 5 Year MBBS, BDS and 3 Year B.Sc Nursing programmes can register and pay fees and submit their preferences through the official MCC website at mcc.nic.in. The NEET Round 3 process under the All India Quota began on September 22, 2026. MCC will declare the NEET Round 3 Seat Allotment Results on September 30, 2026. NEET UG 2026 Round 3 Schedule
The Registration and fee payment window commenced from September 22, and will remain active till September 27, 2026. Registration closes at 3:00 PM, while fee payment stays available till 6:00 PM. NEET UG 2026 Round 3: Choice Locking Timings
MCC will start the Choice locking from September 2026 (7:00 PM). The last date to complete choice filling is September 28, 2026 (12:00 Noon). Candidates must lock their choices within this timeline so their final preferences are saved for seat allotment.
NEET UG 2026 Round 3: Who Can Register Again
Candidates who registered in Round 1 or Round 2 but did not receive any seat do not need to register again. They also do not need to pay the fee again. Such candidates only have to submit fresh choices.
Fresh registration is needed for candidates who did not take part in earlier rounds. It is also needed for those who resigned from their Round 2 seat or did not report to the allotted college. These candidates must pay the security fee during registration.
NEET UG 2026 Exam Statistics
The NEET UG 2026 cycle recorded 22.79 lakh (2279743) registered candidates. Nearly 20 lakh (1999895) of them appeared in the exam. The attendance rate stood at 87.72 percent. A total of 11.21 lakh (1121185) candidates qualified. Women made up more than 58 percent of all qualified candidates.
Uttar Pradesh recorded the highest number of registrations at 3.56 lakh (356079). Maharashtra followed with 2.23 lakh (222849) candidates. Rajasthan came next with 2.09 lakh (208583) candidates.
NEET UG 2026 Round 3: Seats Covered Under Round 3
MCC handles 15 percent of All India Quota seats in government medical and dental colleges. It also conducts counselling for 100 percent of seats at AIIMS campuses and JIPMER and AFMC. The process covers all seats in Central Universities such as AMU and BHU along with Deemed Universities. Candidates should review the Round 3 seat matrix on the MCC website before filling preferences. Complete the fee payment on time and submit choices early. Lock the choices before the deadline to stay safe. Careful planning in this round can improve the chances of getting a preferred medical seat.
