The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has extended the assessment facility for Persons with Disabilities (PwD) participating in Round 3 of the NEET UG 2026 counselling process. Candidates can now avail of the facility at Appellate Boards until 10:30 am on September 28, 2026.
The committee also notified that the Primary Medical Assessment Board will function until 5 pm on September 26, 2026.
“The PwD Assessment facility for Round-3 of UG Counselling 2026 has been extended. The Primary Medical Assessment Board will function upto 05:00 P.M of 26.09.2026 and the re-assessment facility at Appellate Boards will be available upto 10:30 A.M of 28.09.2026,” the official website states.
On September 23, the MCC added 13,636 new MBBS seats, taking the total intake to 1.40 lakh for the 2026-27 academic session. Of the total seats, 64,121 are available for admission to government medical colleges, while 76,543 seats are available in private institutions.
The addition of seats also comes following the establishment of 41 new medical colleges. The highest share came from private medical colleges, which added 3,000 seats across 28 colleges. Meanwhile, 13 new government medical colleges contributed 850 seats.
State-wise, the highest number of new seats was added in Karnataka, followed by Bihar, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Telangana, West Bengal and Maharashtra.
NEET UG Round 3 Seat Allotment
The MCC is scheduled to release the NEET UG 2026 round 3 seat allotment result on September 30. The registration and fee payment facility is ongoing and will end on September 27.
The choice-filling facility ends a day later, on September 28. Students who have been allotted seats will be required to report to their allotted college between October 1 and October 9, 2026.

- On the homepage, click on “Candidate Login.”
- Enter your NEET UG roll number and password and click on “Submit.”
- Your allotted seat and college will be displayed on the screen.
- Download and save it for future reference.
