Patna School Holidays 2025: The Patna District Administration have extended the closure of schools until 25th January 2025 for classes 8th. 

In the earlier order on 21st January, the District Magistrate had reopened schools for classes 8th. However, due to the cold-wave conditions, the schools were closed again. Schools for these classes have been closed since January 5 due to the cold, with the DM extending the closure several times.

“Classes from 9 onwards will continue with due precautions between 9 am and 3.30 pm. The academic activities related to board examinations will be exempted,” the order by the DM said.

On Thursday, Patna recorded the lowest temperature at 14.7°C, while the lowest temperature in the state was 9°C in Motihari, East Champaran. The state capital’s highest temperature that day was 21.2°C, while the highest in the state was 26.1°C in Gaya. 

The weather department said that the minimum temperature in Patna and seven other districts, including Gaya, Nalanda, Sheikhpura, Begusarai, Lakhisarai, Nawada, and Jehanabad, would go up by 2 degrees to 12-14°C on Friday. The temperature is expected to drop to 10-12°C between January 25 and 29.

These areas will experience the rise of maximum temperature by 2 degrees to 22-24°C, then drop to 20-22°C on January 25 and 26, and further fall to 18-20°C on January 27.

The weather department also said there could be light to moderate fog in the mornings in many parts of the state until January 25.
