BTSC FSO Eligibility Criteria 2026

Educational Qualification

• Candidates must hold a recognised degree in one of the following disciplines: Food Technology, Dairy Technology, Biotechnology, Oil Technology, Agricultural Science, Veterinary Science, Biochemistry, Microbiology, or Chemistry. Specialised courses such as Food Engineering, Food Processing and Preservation, Food Safety and Quality Management, Agricultural Engineering, Fisheries, and Horticulture are also accepted.

• Alternatively, candidates with a medical qualification are also eligible, including:

• MBBS

• BDS

• BHMS

• BUMS

• BSMS

• BAMS

• B.S.R.M.S. (Sowa Rigpa)

• Other qualifications approved by the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) and recognised by the Central Government may also be considered.

Age Limit 

• The minimum age is 21 years 

• The maximum age is 37 years
