The School of Management at IIT Bombay started in 1995 to train students to become future leaders. In 2000, it was renamed the Shailesh J. Mehta School of Management (SJMSOM). Revised Eligibility Criteria for Admission to the MBA Program of IIT Bombay
The MBA program at the Shailesh J. Mehta School of Management aims to train future business leaders and managers. This program, offered by the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, is a full-time residential course of two years and is open to students from any discipline.
The eligibility criteria for Indian students and International students are different. Below is the list of the revised eligibility criteria offered for the candidates seeking admission to the MBA program for the academic year of 2025-27 of the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay:-
Indian Students Eligibility Criteria
- A candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognised university.
- A candidate belonging to the unreserved category should have at least secured 60% marks in a bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognised university.
- A candidate belonging to the reserved category should have at least secured 55% marks in the bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognised university.
- A candidate appearing in the final year of the discipline and awaiting results is also eligible to apply for the program, provided the candidate qualifies for the marks criteria.
- A candidate must have a valid CAT 2024 exam score.
International Students Eligibility Criteria
- A candidate must have a foreign passport or hold an OCI/PIO card.
- A candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognised university.
- A candidate must have at least secured 60% marks or a CPI of 6.5/10 in the bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognised university of India or a renowned foreign university.
- A candidate, in the final year, can also apply with the latest available scores meeting the required percentage.
- A candidate must have a valid GMAT scorecard.
- For a candidate seeking admission to this program, TOEFL/IELTS is not needed if English was the medium of instruction (proof required).
