CBSE Private Candidate Form 2027: Class 10, 12 Registration Begins Today, Check Direct Link, Eligibility, Fee

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the Private candidate form 2027 notice for Class 10 and 12. The registration begins today, October 8 on the official website cbse.gov.in.

CBSE Private Candidate 2027 Registration: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will release the 2027 Private Candidate registration form for Class 10 and 12 students today, October 8, 2026. These private candidates will appear for the examinations in February, March and April 2027, along with the 2026-27 board examination students. The registration process for private candidates will end on October 23, 2026.

Students can apply online only through the CBSE’s official websites, cbse.gov.in and cbseit.in, and must pay the prescribed fee set by the Board. The syllabus will remain the same as that prescribed for the 2027 board examination students. 

Who Should Fill the CBSE Private Candidate Registration Form 2027?

As per the official CBSE guidelines, students falling under any of the categories below can apply for the CBSE 2027 Private Candidate form:

Essential Repeat: Students who were placed in the Essential Repeat category in the 2026 CBSE results for Class 10 and 12 must register as private candidates.

Second Chance Compartment students: Students who were placed in the compartment category in the Board’s main and supplementary examinations during the 2025-26 exams can apply.

Fail/Essential Repeat category students: Candidates who were declared failed in the last six years are eligible to apply for private candidate registration. The eligible years include 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025 and 2026.

Improvement candidates: Students who appeared for the 2025-26 board examinations and wish to improve their scores or marks are eligible to fill the private candidate form for the 2027 examinations.

CBSE Private Candidate Registration 2027: Documents And Details Needed

Candidates should keep their previous CBSE marksheet/examination details ready while filling the form. Students who appeared in 2026 will have relevant information auto-generated, while those from 2025 or earlier may need to enter their roll number and year of passing themselves. Incorrect information can lead to rejection of the application. 

Candidates must also keep a recent photograph ready. CBSE says the photograph should be in colour, high quality, taken within the last six months, with the candidate facing the camera and the full face clearly visible. The photograph should be saved as a JPG file within 40 KB for uploading. 

Candidates seeking disability-related exemptions or concessions must upload the required medical/disability certificate.

How To Fill CBSE Private Candidate Form 2027

1. Visit the official CBSE website cbse.gov.in.

2. Open the “व्यक्तिगत परीक्षार्थी” link for private candidates.

3. Select the relevant Class 10 or Class 12 examination and candidate category.

4. Enter the required examination and personal details.

5. Candidates who appeared for the 2026 examination will see several details auto-generated in the system. Those who appeared in 2025 or earlier need to enter details such as their roll number and year of passing. 

6. Enter the correct combination of roll number, school number and centre number, wherever applicable, as given on the marksheet.

7. Select the required subjects and examination city.

8. Upload the photograph in the prescribed format.

9. Pay the examination fee online.

10. Submit the form and download a copy for future reference.

CBSE has advised candidates to choose the examination city carefully because the centre city selected and allotted cannot subsequently be changed.
