The Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA) has announced a two-year Executive MBA programme at its Dubai campus. The course expands the institute’s portfolio in the UAE. It is the third offering from the Dubai campus. The programme is built for senior working professionals who want leadership and strategic management skills without taking a career break. IIM Ahmedabad Executive MBA: Programme Structure and Curriculum
The Executive MBA runs across six terms. It mixes weekend in-person classes with a seven-day residency at the IIMA Ahmedabad campus and an international immersion. Participants also finish a faculty-supervised executive capstone project on real business problems. The curriculum uses AI-integrated learning and case-based teaching. It focuses on strategic decision-making, cross-functional management and leadership in technology-driven businesses. The launch comes as Gulf firms adapt to artificial intelligence and changing workforce needs. The World Economic Forum says 41 per cent of workers’ core skills in the UAE may change by 2030.
Professor Bharat Bhasker the director of IIM Ahmedabad said professionals today must lead with strategic depth and a global outlook. He noted that most learning formats are not built for someone who already holds that responsibility. The programme is aimed at professionals working across India and Gulf markets. Graduates also gain access to the IIMA alumni network with active chapters in the UAE, India and other locations. IIMA said edtech company Emeritus supports the programme for awareness and outreach. Academic delivery and faculty operations stay with the IIMA Dubai campus. The campus already runs a one-year MBA and a General Management Programme.

Applicants must have at least six years of post-graduation work experience. This must include three years in a managerial or leadership role. Candidates need to submit scores from the IIMA Admission Test GMAT Focus Executive Assessment or GRE.
