Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has announced free coaching facilities for competitive examinations as part of a series of initiatives aimed at supporting students and young people in the state.
The announcement was made at the CM Youth Conclave 2026 in Bhopal, where the state government outlined several measures covering competitive exam preparation, higher education, research, skill development and employment.
According to the announcement, free coaching for competitive examinations will be made available through government colleges across Madhya Pradesh. The initiative is expected to help students who may not be able to afford private coaching while preparing for competitive examinations.
The state government had earlier also announced free online coaching for competitive examinations. In August, the Madhya Pradesh Cabinet decided to introduce the facility for young people in the state.
Research Scholars To Get Higher Scholarship
The Chief Minister also announced measures aimed at supporting students pursuing research. The initiatives include an increase in research scholarships, providing additional financial support to scholars pursuing higher studies and research.
Research scholarships are intended to help students meet academic and research-related expenses while allowing them to focus on their work. Madhya Pradesh already has scholarship provisions for eligible PhD scholars belonging to specific categories. For instance, the state government provides a research scholarship of Rs 16,000 per month for eligible SC and ST students for up to three years.

AI Labs And Skill Development Initiatives
The Youth Conclave also focused on emerging technologies and employability. The state government announced plans related to AI labs in government colleges, with the broader objective of helping students gain skills relevant to changing employment requirements.
AI, or artificial intelligence, refers to computer systems that can perform tasks that generally require human intelligence, such as analysing information, recognising patterns and generating content.
The new measures come as governments increasingly focus on providing students with access to coaching, technology and skill-based learning. For students in Madhya Pradesh, the proposed initiatives could provide additional avenues for competitive exam preparation, higher education and research.
